In other news, it was 105 degrees out there. I had to drive from downtown to pick up my friend to Folsom to watch the movie and back... without AC. We got there about an hour early so we went across the street to the outlets... it felt like the sun was trying to melt me to the asphalt each step. Like I had 30 pound weights tied to each ankle. I just could not believe the heat.

Well, okay not really.

I just switched my shift from 7-4 to 1-10. So I'll be finishing my work usually when I'm used to falling asleep. Well, at least I can stay up to a decent hour again. Getting tired at 9PM every night is ridiculous and puts a cramp in my social life.

I don't know how or why, but Iruka Umino would be the best (and the worst) defense against the dark arts teacher ever. The kids wouldn't learn shit about spells, but by the end of the year they will know how to hit a target with a kunai, by gum!

I want to be actually using my license and working as a water treatment plant operator. Actually, ten years from now I want to be a grade 3, which shouldn't be too hard. It won't make me rich, but it's an honest living and that would be good enough for me.  I would either have a kid, or be thinking about having one fairly soon. My house would be outside the city somewhere with room enough to have a couple of large dogs.


Hmm... I like how the tags automatically put "Intel, sponsors of tomorrow." Fuck off, corporate America.

... Do ostrich-horses have wings? Like, even stub wings like real ostrich's? I'm too lazy to queue up a DVD and it's important.

Seriously, I try not to hash on other people's fan fiction because it's a douche thing to do, but this.... I have almost no words.

Name a fandom, and I'll give you at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

It was "pass", short for "pacifier". I would wake up yelling in the middle of the night screaming for my "pass" when it got lost in the blankets. I guess my first whole word was "Daddy". That makes sense. My dad was a house-father for the most part when I was a baby. My mom worked in the cannery and my dad stayed home, took care of the baby, and of course tended the pot-field. Good times. ;D

Actually, it's not writers block. It's writer's stuck. I'm SO stuck on writing a scene for Another Brother. I can't figure out a way around it. So... anyone want to brainstorm with me real quick?

The stupid part about this is that I've written past it (actually, I just finished the chapter after this next chapter -- so now I'm three parts ahead  and done except for this one scene) so I need it to end a certain way. It's just getting from point A to point B that's driving me nuts.

Something small and orange caught Katara's eye the flickering candle light. The cover of a paperback book. Setting down her bowl, she walked up the man, smiling in a gentle, friendly sort of way. Things were still tense between the two groups: too much confusion and mistrust on both sides. As a natural peacekeeper, she wanted to start to building the bridge.

"What are you reading?" she asked, walking behind him. Then she saw the characters and froze, face reddening. "Put that away! You-- There are children here!"

Kakashi's lowered his book briefly, his disinterested eye sweeping over Toph and Aang. "One is blind," he said, putting the book back in front of his nose and turning the page. "And the other will learn to appreciate these things, in a few years."

Oh Ben and Jerry's Phish Food. I love you. Marry me.

Thanks for all the words of support and the helpful drug advice. I finally ended up taking more meds and putting in the Iron Man movie. I was passed out by the time the flashback with the hum-vee was over. haha.

Anyway, I'm just really sore and swollen now instead of in active pain so things are a lot better. I'm also still somewhat stoned from the vicoden. God, I hope I can make it to work tomorrow. We'll see.

Also, I'm watching 16 and pregnant and... Good God I just want to slap the shit out of this young mother. What a bunch of self-absorbed little shits. I was never like this at 16. Right? Right? haha.

I am in so much pain it's incredible, guys. OMG I'm stoned out of my head with two vicoden and two asprin and nothing is working. I didn't have this kind of pain at all with the other wisdom teeth when I've had them pulled. This can't be normal. It hurts so much I don't know what to do.

Hey there! Gosh, I've fallen behind on my updates.


Umm... I just did a job interview for something I'd really like. Quailty department. Kick ass. I went out and made a whole presentation and the whole project just sounds so darn exciting. There's already 40 people applying for 4 positions, but I'll give it a go.

Predictably, my boss's boss is trying to stonewall me from the position. She doesn't like how I didn't hit quota last month. Lady the center as a whole didn't hit quota last month. But whatever, I'm used to things not being easy with this company. The best thing I can do is try and then see what happens! :D

Also, now that the heart thing is behind me I can finally get the rest of my dental crap taken care of. The dentist wanted to put off the rest of the work because there are some medications you can/cannot use with certain things...ect. The short of it is I'm getting a wisdom tooth taken out tomorrow. Bleck. Not looking forward to it, although I trust this dentist. He's good people.

I always wanted to keep my wisdom teeth in until they started bothering me. The end result is that I'll only have one left now, but I'll be glad to have this one out. It's been a pain in my neck (and my jaw and my ear, strangely enough) for awhile now.

Another Brother is coming along, slowly. I had to stop for a few weeks due to just RL stress and taking up the chapter again felt like starting from scratch. I swear there were things in there I don't even remember writing -- uh, for good and ill.

I had ideas of what I wanted to post, but things are just going too slowly. It's going to have to be a short chapter. Someone on ASN sorta took a chunk out of me for not posting an update, and it's deserved. It shouldn't have taken so long.

I haven't lost interest. I just... blah, suddenly the day is just so short. I wish I had more time, or could get away with sleeping less. ;)
